Fishing

Fishing access on the Mississippi River is available at Clinton's new handicapped-accessible fishing pier, located between 5th and 6th Avenue North on Riverview Drive, south of the Showboat Theatre. Access also available along the Discovery Trail that begins at Riverview Drive and 9th Avenue North. Fish that are indigenous to the Mississippi River in the Clinton area are: Bluegill, Sunfish, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Channel Cat, Walleye, Sauger, Bullhead, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Flathead Catfish and Yellow Bass.

Hunting

Beckridge Hunting Preserve

The Preserve is a family owned and operated hunting facility, which offers hunting 7 days a week. Our upland bird hunting begins October 1st and runs through March, when the pheasant hunting is most explosive. Hunters and non-hunters alike will appreciate this beautiful country in any season. We offer a comfortable facility to accommodate small hunting parties, family groups, as well as corporate business clientele. We offer half day, one day, and multiple day hunts, on a reservation basis. Our rolling, easy-to-navigate terrain consists of switch grass, milo, corn strips, timber and other native ground covers, make hunting an enjoyable experience for all. The fields are strip cut so dogs can be easily seen; yet birds can find adequate cover. Hunters may bring their own dogs or dogs will be provided for a slight fee. Bring your cameras – just watching the dogs makes a trip to BeckRidge worthwhile. Our goal at BeckRidge is to provide you with the perfect get-away and a superior hunting experience.

The Marina has 150 slips from 20 to 50 feet. Transients are welcome, advance reservations recommended. One of the nicest marinas on the Mississippi River. The marina offers full-service amenities with shower rooms, laundry, gas and diesel, a pump-out station, a 4-lane boat launch and a boaters' store. The Candlelight Inn located on the 2nd floor of the marina building offers dining inside or out on the deck and has spectacular views of the Mississippi River. Dedicated to preserving the rich history of tennis in the River City area, the River Cities Tennis Association was formed to maintain resources such as the indoor Tennis courts. The River Cities Tennis Association will manage the day to day operations of the indoor courts and offer various programs for adults & youth in tennis, pickleball.
